# 1Password agent hooks

[1Password Agent Hooks <Icon icon="github" />](https://github.com/1Password/agent-hooks/) provide automated validation and verification of 1Password configurations and integrations with supported agents and IDEs. They help make sure that required 1Password resources are properly set up before commands are executed, preventing errors and security issues.

## Available hooks

* [Validate locally mounted `.env` files from 1Password Environments](/environments/agent-hook-validate)

  If you use Claude Code or Cursor, this hook is bundled in the [1Password plugin for Claude Code](/environments/claude-plugin) or the [1Password plugin for Cursor](/environments/cursor-plugin), which also install an agent skill and MCP server configuration.
