Get started with the 1Password Accounts API for Partners
Learn how to authenticate and make your first requests to the 1Password Accounts API for Partners.
The 1Password Accounts API for Partners allows distributors to provision and manage 1Password product entitlements for their customers. This guide walks you through making your first authenticated request.
The Accounts API authorizes requests with a bearer token. When your organization registers as a distributor, you receive an opaque bearer token, prefixed with op_b_. You’ll include this token in the Authorization header of every request. See the authentication section in the API conventions guide for more information.
For your first call to the Accounts API, you can use curl on the command line to send a request to the /v1/distributor-products endpoint. This will let you confirm that your bearer token is valid and which products your distributor account can provision.Open your terminal and run the following command, replacing <YOUR_API_TOKEN> with your bearer token from Step 1.
If additional pages of results are available, the response will also include a next_page_token. You can use that token with the page_token query parameter to fetch the next page. Learn more about pagination in the API.
You can use the API reference to find more code examples for each endpoint.Select Try it in any endpoint header to open the interactive API playground. You can enter your own values in the input boxes and send requests directly from the playground.
Requests you send from the API playground are routed through the documentation platform’s proxy service. If you prefer to keep your bearer token strictly between your systems and 1Password, copy a code example and run it with your own tools instead.
To use the examples with another tool, select the dropdown menu on a code example and choose which language option you want, select copy , then paste the example code into your preferred testing tool. You can also download the OpenAPI specification YAML file, then use it to feed into code-generation tools, create mock servers, or import into API clients.
